Event overview
The Round The Houses event on 19 April 2026 includes two distances:
- 10K road race
- 2K Fun Run
The 10K incorporates the East District 10k Road Championship. The course is described as flat and uses a stadium track at points. Results will be posted on roundthehouses.com and scottishathletics.org.uk. Finish-time text messages are sent to finishers who provide a valid mobile number at entry.
Logistics and entry
Race numbers contain a chip timing device and must be collected on the day at the Grangemouth Stadium Indoor Centre. There are showers and changing facilities at Grangemouth Sports Stadium. Car parking is available at Grangemouth Stadium and Bowhouse Primary School. The organiser operates under UK Athletics rules and an SAL licence. Photographs and video may be taken for PR and marketing purposes.
No entries on the day are permitted for the 10K. Walkers cannot be accommodated because of the traffic management plan. Due to traffic restrictions, 10K entrants must be able to maintain a pace of at least 8 minutes per kilometre, completing the course in 80 minutes or less. Age limits apply: all 2K runners must be at least 4 years old and all 10K runners must be at least 15 years old on race day.
Prizes and fees
Prize categories include overall top three male and female, masters age-group winners, and team prizes. A memorial trophy is presented to the race winner and an additional prize of £100 is offered for a new course record. Current course records for the new course are: men's 30:04 (2019) and women's 33:25 (2022).
