Round the Bridges : Hamilton City Council 12km
The Hamilton City Council 12km is one of the course options at the Round the Bridges event on Sunday 15 November 2026. The 12km course starts on Victoria Street in the CBD, follows Victoria Street north, drops to the river path at Rostrevor Street, crosses Fairfield Bridge, continues south along River Road, passes through Hamilton Gardens, and returns over Cobham Bridge to finish on Victoria Street.

Participants for the 6km and 12km line up on both sides of Victoria Street and start together. The minimum entry age is 5 years; entrants aged 5–12 must be accompanied for the entire event by an adult known to them, and that adult assumes responsibility for the child’s safety. Participants older than 12 may complete the course without an accompanying adult.
Awards include two trophies for first-place finishers: the Allan Bloore & Donald Miller Trophy for male first place and the Tinkler Shield for female first place. Merit prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. The event includes a Spark Corporate Team Challenge and provides information on bib collection, training guides, health and safety, and results recording.
