Rotary Monster Dash
The Rotary Monster Dash takes place in Harker Heights, Texas, and serves as a fundraising event for both local community projects and international efforts to end Polio. This competition is a participating event in the Cen-Tex Race Series. The event features two distinct distances:
- 5K chip-timed running race
- 1K Little Monster Dash
The 5K race provides awards for the overall male and female winners, as well as the top three male and female finishers in various age groups. These groups range from 11 and under up to 70 and older. Early registrants for the 5K are guaranteed a shirt, though availability and sizes are limited for those registering after the cutoff date.
The 1K Little Monster Dash is an untimed race designed for children. Participants in this distance receive a goody bag. A costume contest follows the kids' race, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
Registration is available in advance and on the day of the event. Packet pickup is organized at the race site on the day of the event as well as during scheduled early pickup sessions on the preceding days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
