MK5K Killeen
MK5K Killeen takes place on October 10, 2026 at Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas. The event benefits the Mary Kay Ash Foundation and is part of the Cen-Tex Race Series. Organizers report a fundraising goal of $21,000 for this year and note nearly $100,000 raised for the nonprofit over previous editions.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K Live 5K
- 5K Sleep In 5K support option
Registration opens February 17, 2026. The Live 5K has a standard fee structure with a shirt guarantee for registrations through September 26, 2026; alternative pricing applies for the no-shirt option and later registrations. The Sleep In 5K is a support-only entry available through September 26, 2026 and includes an optional $5 shipping fee for shirts.
Early packet pick up is scheduled for October 9 at Sisters of Success Studio, 116 E Veterans Memorial Blvd., Suite B, Harker Heights. Race day packet pick up is at Ellison High School on the Elms Road side.
The Live 5K is chip timed. Awards include top male and female overall and top three male and female finishers in each age group, with no duplicate awards. Age groups run from 11 and under through 70 plus. Registration fees are non refundable. The race is held rain or shine but may be delayed or cancelled for severe weather.
