The 9th Annual Rotary Club of Bal Harbour and the Bal Harbour Police Department 5K Race/Walk takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The event is held at Haulover Park on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida.
Race Details
The race is a fundraiser for the Chief Mark N. Overton and Chief Miguel “Mike” De La Rosa Scholarship Fund. This fund provides academic or police academy scholarships for those pursuing careers in law enforcement or degrees in Criminal Justice or Public Administration.
Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K distance. The event is chip-timed by Southern Timing, LLC, which provides live results. All participants receive a t-shirt, a finisher medal, and giveaways from event sponsors.
Registration and Logistics
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bal Harbour Waterfront Park (18 Bal Bay Drive). Separate, discounted registration pricing is available for active duty military, retired military, and first responders.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each of 15 age groups, ranging from 5 & Under to 70 & Over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
