The Rotary Bug Run is a community 5K run and walk held on August 8, 2026 at the Union Street parking lot at the intersection of Union and Miller Streets in Belfast, Maine. The course is described as scenic and fairly flat with a few gentle hills, shaded neighborhoods, a stretch along the waterfront, and a crossing of the Armistice Foot Bridge over the Passagassawaukeag River. There is one water stop on the course.

The event is organized by the Belfast Rotary Club and sponsored by the First National Bank, Belfast Maine. It is part of the RunBelfast 2026 race series. Awards include 10 pounds of live lobsters for the overall female and male winners and medals for the top female and male in each of nine age groups from preteen through 80 plus.

Souvenir t shirts are guaranteed for runners who register by July 25 and are available afterward while supplies last. Participants arriving by car are directed to use downtown city parking lots such as Washington Street and Beaver Street and parallel parking on Front Street rather than parking in neighborhood streets.
