Rotary Bug Run 5K Run/Walk : Belfast, Maine
The Rotary Bug Run is a community 5K run and walk held in Belfast, Maine, at the Union Street parking lot near the intersection of Union and Miller Streets. The course is described as scenic and fairly flat with a few gentle hills, shaded neighborhoods, a stretch along the waterfront, and a crossing of the Armistice Foot Bridge over the Passagassawaukeag River. One water stop is provided on the course.
The event is presented by the Belfast Rotary Club with sponsorship from First National Bank, Belfast. It is part of the RunBelfast 2026 race series, which includes several other 5K events in the same community. Entry fees are listed at $25 through early August and $30 on race day; active duty military have a stated fee of $25. Souvenir t-shirts are guaranteed for runners who register by July 24 and may be available afterward while supplies last. Awards include 10 pounds of live lobsters for the overall top female and male finishers and age-group medals for top finishers across multiple age categories.
