Bridge The Gap Road Race
Bridge The Gap is a road race event located in Stockton Springs, Maine. The event offers participants a choice between two distinct distances on paved surfaces:
- 10 Miles
- 3 Miles
The race course is situated on Fort Knox Road, also known as Route 174, in the vicinity of the Bridge Overlook. This location provides the setting for both the shorter and longer running events.
Transportation is provided for participants before the event begins. Shuttle buses operate from the Bucksport United Methodist Church, located at 3 River Road in Bucksport, to transport runners to the starting area. The final shuttle bus is scheduled to depart from the church at 9:30 AM. There is no return shuttle service provided to Fort Knox following the conclusion of the races. Registration for both distances is required in advance, with a specific registration window ending approximately two weeks before the event date.
