Rosy Rhubarb Walk / Run 2026
The Optimist Club of Fingal - Shedden and District is hosting its third annual Rosy Rhubarb Walk and/or Run. The event takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Shedden, Ontario, at 9210 Union Road.
Several distances are offered:
- A 5 km run or walk
- A 10 km run
- A 1 km fun run for kids 12 and under
All participants receive a finisher medal. The route will be a combined road and trail course due to construction on Union Road; the final map will be updated closer to the race date. Parking is available at the soccer fields at 9210 Union Road.
Start times are staggered, with the 10 km run beginning first, followed by the 5 km event. The kids' run starts after the return of the other participants. Registration and bib pick-up occur on the morning of the event.
Safety measures include on-site St. John’s Ambulance personnel. Three water stations are positioned along the route, and first aid kits are available at the turnaround points. Road closures will be in effect on Union Road and at the intersection with Talbot Line (Highway 3). The event is held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
