The Rose Island Winter Warrior is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Charlestown, IN (12500 Highway 62, 47111). The event is the final race in the Winter Warrior Trail Series. Entry for the listed event is $25. Awards are given for Overall Male and Overall Female. All finishers receive a custom medal. Completing multiple races in the series can earn a Winter Warrior medal and shirt.
Course and race services
The main event is the 6 Miler with a planned course length of about 5 to 6 miles. The course crosses the old bridge into Rose Island, passes sites of the former amusement park, and returns via wooded trails. The Start/Finish is near the parking lot at trail head #4, using Trails 4, 3 and 7 as the tentative route. Packet pick-up is on-site at the parking lot near Trail #4. Restrooms are available near the parking lot. The event is cupless; participants should bring a personal water bottle or hydration pack. An aid station near the finish will offer snacks and a water refill station, with limited bottled water available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
