About the race
Roll of the Dice is scheduled for January 23, 2027, at Boat Ramp Rd in Wetumpka, AL. The event uses a single loop course on smooth, runnable dirt singletrack.
At the start organizers roll a die to determine how many laps every participant will run. The loop is about 3.12 miles long; participants must use only the gear they have on at the start. The event provides a single cupless aid station at the loop start/finish offering water and electrolytes during the race, and pizza is provided at the finish. Restrooms are available in the parking lot adjacent to the trailhead. Participants may stop at their vehicle or a personal aid station to access supplies between laps.
The minimum possible distance is 3.12 miles and the maximum possible distance is 18.72 miles; distances are not guaranteed to be exact. Organizers do not offer refunds. There is an absolute cutoff six hours after the start; the organizers reserve the right to shorten the cutoff if the rolled distance is considerably shorter than the maximum. The event is planned to run rain or shine; if weather forces a cancellation there will be no makeup date. Registration closes January 20, 2027.
