Event Overview
The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place in Fort Worth, Texas, with the start and finish area located at Farrington Field. This event is designed as a summer endurance test, utilizing the natural landscapes of local green belts and parks. Race Distances

- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile chip-timed course through shaded trails and alongside local rivers.
- Quarter Marathon: A 6.55 mile chip-timed race.
- 5K: A 3.11 mile chip-timed race.
- 1 Mile Run: A non-timed event for all experience levels.
- Kids Dash: A 20 yard dash specifically for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Run: A 13.1 mile option for remote participation.
Course and Amenities
The route is designed to showcase Texas scenery, including rolling hills and wooded areas. To assist participants during the summer heat, the course features multiple aid stations stocked with water and supplies. At the finish line, a race rally tent provides snacks and refreshments.
Recognition and Awards
Chip-timed events (5K, Quarter, and Half Marathon) feature various awards, including gold, silver, and bronze pins for age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70+. Top overall male and female finishers receive trophies. All participants in the timed and non-timed events receive a finisher medal and a race shirt, provided registration occurs at least 10 days before the event.
