Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Fort Worth overview
The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Farrington Field, 1501 University Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76107. The event offers multiple race options and a virtual run. Aid stations are available on course. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the event. The event proceeds in all weather. Course surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite and dirt paths. Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. Race results and awards are available at the registration tent immediately after finishing.

- Kids Dash - approx. 20 yards
- 1 Mile Run - 1 mile
- 5K Run - 3.11 miles
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Volunteer then Run 5K - 3.11 miles
- Virtual Run - participant-chosen location
The 5K, Quarter Marathon and Half Marathon are chip timed. The Kids Dash and 1 Mile events are not timed. The Volunteer then Run option includes a custom chip-timed bib and is limited to the first five sign-ups.
Awards, swag and volunteers
Overall first-place male and female finishers receive trophies; masters receive recognition pins; age-group awards and pins are given across age brackets from 10 and under through 70+. Finishers receive shirts and medals as described. Snacks and refreshments are available at the race rally tent and a DJ announces runners and awards. Volunteer roles include aid station, course monitor, finish-line helper, packet pickup, lead bike, mascot and sweeper. Full race volunteers may earn a race shirt, souvenir medal, VIP access and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.
