Hot Hatch Chile Run, Walk, and Roll : Bicentennial Park, Southlake TX
This event takes place at Bicentennial Park in Southlake, Texas and includes multiple running and walking options along a mapped course. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. Virtual participants receive a race t-shirt by mail after the event; finisher medals are not mailed for virtual entries.
Distances:
- 10K road race with chip timing
- 5K road race with chip timing
- 1 mile fun run, untimed
The course welcomes wheelchairs and allows strollers to be integrated safely. Pets are not permitted on the 5K and 10K courses; pets are permitted in the 1 mile fun run. Minimum ages are set for the longer distances: nine years for the 10K and six years for the 5K; there is no minimum age for the 1 mile event. The organizer may change course details for safety or production reasons.
Packet pickup is handled through a local running store in Southlake. The 5K and 10K are chip timed using disposable chips distributed with bibs; the 1 mile fun run is not timed. Awards follow age-group categories and include overall, masters, and grand masters distinctions; hand-cyclist awards are listed for both distances. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Shirts are short sleeve tri-blend and sizes are limited after July 15, 2026. No refunds or transfers are allowed.
Proceeds benefit the Neuro Assistance Foundation, which assists people with spinal cord injuries and disabilities by providing mobility equipment, vehicle and home modifications, and related technology.
