Event Overview
The Red, White and Blue Half Marathon is a trail-based running event held at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. Organized by the Bigfoot Running Company, the race follows various paved trails, with potential sections of crushed granite or dirt paths. Race Categories
The event features several distances to accommodate various preferences:
- Kids Dash: A 50-meter non-timed dash for children aged 10 and under.
- 2 Mile Run: A non-chip-timed event for all experience levels.
- 4 Mile Run: A chip-timed race including overall and age group awards.
- 8 Mile Run: A chip-timed race featuring overall and age group awards.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile chip-timed course with overall and age group awards.
- Virtual Run: A remote participation option for the half marathon distance.
Awards and Recognition
The 4-mile, 8-mile, and half marathon distances feature competitive awards. The first overall male and female finishers in these categories receive a trophy. Special recognition pins are awarded to the first male and female finishers in the Master's (40+) category. Additionally, gold, silver, and bronze award pins are presented to the top three male and female finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70+.
Course Support and Amenities
The event provides multiple aid stations along the route stocked with water. At the finish line, a rally tent offers snacks and bottled water for recovery. The race atmosphere includes a live DJ and professional photography. Results and awards are available at the registration tent immediately following the completion of the distances.
