Heroes and Villains - Dallas takes place on Saturday September 12, 2026 at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, TX. The event is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and includes in-person and virtual options across multiple distances.

Distances offered:

• Kids Dash : 50 meter untimed dash for ages 10 and under
• 1 Mile Fun Run : untimed, open to all ages
• 5K : 3.11 miles, chip timed
• Quarter Marathon : 6.55 miles, chip timed
• Half Marathon : 13.1 miles, chip timed
• Volunteer then Run : volunteer and 5K run option
• Virtual Run

All finishers in every distance receive a medal and shirt. Standard awards for the 5K, Quarter Marathon, and Half Marathon include an overall Bigfoot Trophy for first male and female, a masters recognition pin for 40 and over, and gold silver and bronze pins for the top three in each age group. Age groups run from 10 & Under up to 70+.

Races use local park and greenbelt trails with mostly paved sections and some crushed granite and dirt. Aid stations are available along the course and the event proceeds in varying weather. A costume contest is held before the races with prizes including a $25 gift card, a free future race entry, and a Bigfoot Prize Pack. Packet pickup is available on race morning for bibs shirts and pre ordered swag. Volunteer roles and benefits are defined for running and non running positions.
