Event Overview

The Texas Independence Day 5K is a community event celebrating Texas Independence Day. The 3rd annual event will be held at a new location: The Epic campus in Grand Prairie, Texas. This campus features miles of trails, restaurants, and a lake.

Course and Participation

The race is a 5K. The course goes around a lake on the campus. Participants can race, run, ruck, or walk. Participants are encouraged to wear Texas-themed gear or red, white, and blue. A Best Dressed contest will award a pair of cowboy boots to the winner.

Registration and Inclusions

Early-bird registration is $35 until February 1, 2026, after which the price increases to $40. Children 12 and under can register for $10. Veterans, first responders, and law enforcement officers are eligible for a discount code. Registration includes an official event t-shirt and a race medal. The first 250 registrants also receive a swag bag.

Schedule and Logistics

Packet pickup is scheduled for February 27-28 at the One Tribe Foundation office in Euless, Texas. Race day packet pickup opens at 7:30 AM. An opening ceremony begins at 8:30 AM, with the race starting at 9:00 AM. Awards are presented at 10:00 AM.

Post-Race Activities

After the race, there will be music, refreshments, and a Vendor Village featuring companies and organizations from across Texas. The event supports the One Tribe Foundation, which aids those who serve the country and communities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
