Texas Independence Day 5K 2027
The Texas Independence Day 5K is an annual community event organized by the One Tribe Foundation. The race takes place at The Epic in Grand Prairie, Texas, featuring a course that utilizes local trails and passes by a lake. Participants are encouraged to wear Texas-themed clothing or red, white, and blue attire while completing the course.
The available distances for the event include:
- 5 km run, ruck, or walk
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under
Participants receive an official event t-shirt and a race medal. The first 250 individuals to register are provided with a swag bag. The venue area at The Epic includes access to local restaurants and a Vendor Village featuring various companies and organizations from across the state. The event also features music and refreshments for attendees.
Packet pick-up is held on the day prior to the event at the One Tribe Foundation office in Euless, Texas. On the day of the race, a ceremony is held before the start of the athletic activities, and an awards presentation follows the completion of the runs.
