Event Overview
The eKids 5K is a community-oriented sports event held at Robert Smith Family Park in Fate, Texas. Organized by Run Different in partnership with eKids, the event focuses on family participation and supports the eKids indoor playground playground initiative. The profits and donations from the event are directed toward this cause.
Race Options
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash (100-200 meters)
- Virtual Race
The 5K is a gun-timed event. The 1 Mile option is an untimed event designed for families and social groups. The Kid's Dash is a short sprint specifically for children to experience a racing environment. For those unable to attend in person, the virtual option includes a shipped shirt and medal.
Finisher Recognition and Awards
Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile events receive an event-themed t-shirt and a six-inch finisher medal. In the 5K category, awards are presented to the top four finishers in various age Groups, starting from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall medals are also provided for Male and Female winners, as well as Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (60+) divisions. Awards are distributed on-site at the event and are not shipped afterward. Competitive runners are advised to line up at the front, and all participants must wear their bibs on the front of their bodies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
