eKids 5K

Event overview
The eKids 5K takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Fate, Texas at Rober Smith Family Park (1220 CD Boren Pkwy., Fate, TX 75087). The race program includes multiple event options:
- Kid's Dash (short 100–200 meter sprint)
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Virtual Option
Run Different is partnering with eKids for this community event. The virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race.
Registration, fees and extras
Listed entry fees are: Kid's Dash $0, 5K $35, 1 Mile $18, Virtual $40. The 5K and 1 Mile fees increase after December 31, 2025. Kid's Dash and Virtual registrations close on March 7, 2026. Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a 6-inch finisher medal; registrants should register by 02/21 to guarantee a t-shirt size. Kid's Dash participants run free and may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons.
Volunteers may earn a free race entry code in exchange for race-day service.
Awards and charity
Age-group awards for the 5K are given four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall awards include overall male and female, masters (40+), and grand masters (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Run Different will donate 100% of profits and donations from the event to eKids in association with Encounter Church.
