Event Overview
The eKids 5K is a running event scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Rober Smith Family Park in Fate, Texas. The event features several race distances and a community-oriented focus.
Event Distances
Participants can choose from the following events:
- Kid's Dash: A free, short sprint of 100-200 meters for children.
- 5K: A timed race.
- 1 Mile: An untimed event.
- Virtual Option: A remote participation option.
Registration Details
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed t-shirt and a 6-inch finisher medal. To guarantee t-shirt size, registration must be completed by February 21. Regular registration prices are $38 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile, with price increases occurring after February 26.
Awards
The timed 5K features age group awards. The top four finishers in each age division, from 0-4 up to 80+, receive an award medal. Overall winners and masters categories (40+ and 60+) also receive overall medals. All awards are distributed on-site at the event.
Additional Information
The event is gun-timed, and competitive runners are advised to line up near the front. A free Kid's Dash is offered for children, with the option to purchase a t-shirt and medal. The 1 Mile option is untimed and does not offer age group awards. A virtual race option is available, with shirts and medals shipped to participants.
