eKids 5K
The eKids 5K is a community sports event held at Robert Smith Family Park in Fate, Texas. Organized through a partnership between Run Different and eKids, the event focuses on family participation and offers multiple distances for runners and walkers.
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash
Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile distances receive an event-themed participation t-shirt and a six-inch finisher medal. The races are gun-timed, and runners competing for placement are advised to position themselves at the front of the starting group. Race bibs must be displayed on the front of the body throughout the duration of the event.
The 5K event includes competitive age group awards. Medals are presented to the top four finishers in various male and female divisions, ranging from age 0-4 to 80+. Additional overall medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as winners in the Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (60+) categories.
