The eKids 5K takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Rober Smith Family Park, 1220 CD Boren Pkwy., Fate, TX 75087. The event offers multiple ways to participate:

Registration, awards, and other details
Entry fees listed by the organizer are: Kid's Dash $0, 5K $35, 1 Mile $18, and Virtual Option $40. The organizer notes price increases for the 5K and 1 Mile after December 31, 2025. Registration for some events closes on March 7, 2026. Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a 6-inch finisher medal; registrants are asked to register by 02/21 to guarantee t-shirt size. The Kid's Dash is free and described as a short 100–200 meter sprint; dashers may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons. The 1 Mile is an untimed option and will not receive age group awards, but milers still receive a finisher medal and participation shirt. The virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race.
Age-group awards for the 5K will be given four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Overall and masters categories (including 40+ and 60+ divisions) will receive overall medals. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. The event is organized by Run Different in partnership with eKids; the organizer states that 100% of profits and donations will go to Encounter Church/eKids.
