Mardi Gras Madness - Dallas
Mardi Gras Madness takes place on February 22, 2026 at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas and is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company. The event uses a Mardi Gras theme with beads, music, a Race Rally Tent with a DJ, on-site announcements, snacks and an awards ceremony.
Event distances include:
- Kids Dash : ~50 meters for ages 10 and under, non-timed.
- 1 Mile : open to all ages, not chip timed, includes tee and medal.
- 5K (3.11 miles) : chip timed; awards and age-group prizes.
- 10K (6.22 miles) : chip timed; awards and age-group prizes.
- Volunteer then Run 5K : volunteer before the race, includes bib, shirt and medal.
- Virtual Run : remote participation option.
The 5K and 10K offer age-group awards and overall prizes. First overall male and female receive a Bigfoot Trophy; first Masters (40+) receive recognition pins. Age-group categories cover standard ranges from 10 and under up through 70 plus, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place recognition in each group.
All participants receive a finisher medal and a race tee. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations made at least ten days before the event. Youth pricing, referral refunds and group discounts are offered as noted by the organizer.
Course information notes mostly paved trails with some crushed granite or dirt sections. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the event start. The event proceeds rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
