Shoots and Ladders 5K & 10K
The Shoots and Ladders event is the 9th annual 5K and 10K held in Plano, Texas on May 9, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the Red Tail Pavilion and runs through Oak Point Park and its nature preserve. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation.

All in-person participants receive a gender-specific technical shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal with blinking lights. Virtual entries for the 5K and 10K include a shirt, medal, bib, and shipping within the US continental United States; virtual packets are scheduled to ship approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event.
Proceeds benefit the Plano Police Association and the Plano Firefighters Association. Both organizations are described as fraternal, benevolent, and charitable 501(c) groups that support members, families, and community safety. The event is part of the AMPT Running Co race series and is included in the AMPT Champ Challenge, which allows participants to mix distances across series events.
