Event Overview
The Shoots and Ladders 5K & 10K is the 8th annual running event scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026. It takes place at the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas. The event benefits the Plano Police Association and the Plano Firefighters Association.
Race Distances
Participants can choose between two distances:
- 5K (approximately 5 kilometers)
- 10K (approximately 10 kilometers)
Course Information
The start and finish for both races is at the Red Tail Pavilion at Oak Point Park. The route goes through Oak Point Park and the nature preserve.
Participation
The event is open to individuals who wish to walk, jog, or run.
Included Items
All participants receive a tech shirt, a finisher medal with blinking lights, and a custom bib.
Virtual Option
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual registrants receive a virtual bib, shirt, and finisher medal.
