Event Overview
The Hope as Big as Texas event takes place at Bachman Lake in Dallas, Texas. The venue is centered around the Pavilion at Bachman Lake, providing a flat and fast course for participants. This athletic gathering serves as a fundraiser for CurePSP, supporting families impacted by neurological diseases such as progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, and multiple system atrophy.
Distances
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run and Walk
- 1 mile Fun Run and Walk
Participation and Awards
The event features custom finisher medals for all individuals who complete their chosen distance. For the 5 km distance, competitive awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as the overall master male and female winners. Age group awards are also distributed three deep across five-year brackets, ranging from ages 12 and under to 80 and over.
Event Features
The course is lined with memorial and honor signs dedicated to individuals affected by neurological diseases. On-site benefits include packet pickup and day-of registration. Attendees have access to refreshments, soft drinks, and post-race music. Teams of five or more participants are eligible for a discounted registration rate when signing up together.
