Hope as Big as Texas 5K Run & Walk
This event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run/walk. Both events start on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The location is Bachman Lake at 3500 W Northwest Hwy. in Dallas, TX.
Packet pickup and race day registration begins at 7:00 AM at the race site. The 5K and 1-mile events are scheduled to start at 8:30 AM. Online registration has a cap of 250 participants, while the overall event cap is 500 participants. Race-day registration is available.
The event raises funds for CurePSP, a nonprofit organization supporting people with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), and multiple system atrophy (MSA). All proceeds will go to CurePSP's Quality of Life Respite Grant Fund to provide caregiving services to families.
The course is described as fast and flat. Features include awards three deep in 5-year age brackets for the 5K, free soft drinks and refreshments, and custom finisher medals for all participants. Awards categories include overall male and female, overall master male and female, and numerous age groups from 12 & under to 80 & over.
