The Rocky Raccoon 100, by USWE Endurance Trail Race is held at Huntsville State Park in Huntsville, Texas. The event weekend is scheduled for February 7-8, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 100 miles
- 100 km
- Youth 1 mile (ages 12 and under)
The races have a participant cap. The 100-mile and 100 km races often sell out and use a waiting list.
Course, support and logistics
The 100-mile course is five full laps of about 20 miles each. The 100 km course begins with a short 2-mile lap followed by three full 20-mile laps. Each full lap has roughly 1,250 feet of elevation gain and the same amount of loss. Trails are described as gently undulating, running over pine-needle surfaces, around a lake, and over wooden bridges; runners should watch for tree roots rather than rocks.
Organizers provide full aid station support day and night. The event is cupless: runners must bring a cup or water bottle; collapsible cups are available for purchase at packet pickup. Drop bag rules apply - some aid stations require separate bags and there are set procedures for delivery and return. Chip timing is used and results show both gun time and chip time.
