Event overview
The Rocktown Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving running event held in downtown Harrisonburg, Virginia on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event includes a chip-timed race of 4 miles and a separate Gobble Gobble Kids Dash for children. The kids dash takes place on the closed streets of Court Square and finishes before the main 4-mile race. Race bibs and chip timing devices are distributed at packet pickup.
Registration and logistics
Preregistration prices are listed as $27 early bird and $32 regular for the 4 Miler, and $22 early bird and $27 regular for the Gobble Gobble Kids Dash. November 15 at 11:59pm is the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt; after that date remaining shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis by registration time. November 24 is the last day to register online. Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25 with the location to be determined; walkup registration is available at a $5 price increase.
