Registration is offered online and can also be completed on race morning; registration lists are usually printed the night before the event. Volunteers set up bike racks and race equipment before the race and assist on course. Competitors rack bikes, prepare transition areas and are asked to remove bags from transition once set up. Timing chips are worn on the left ankle and returned after finishing. The race uses a mass start, either from the beach or deep water depending on conditions. Road traffic is not closed for the event so competitors must follow applicable road laws and ride with care. After the last competitor finishes, the club packs up equipment and often goes for breakfast together. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
