Rock the Run Pirates vs Princess 5K, Hagerstown

Rock the Run Pirates vs Princess 5K is a community fundraiser held at Fairgrounds Park in Hagerstown, Maryland. The event supports The Hope Center at Hagerstown Rescue Mission, with proceeds allocated to convert the center's front porch into a four season emergency weather shelter.

The event features:

  • 5K course starting at Fairgrounds Park
  • Kids Fun Run (Ages 5-12)

The 5K course passes Pangborn Park, tree lined streets in the North End, and historic Potomac Street. Participants are encouraged to wear pirate or princess costumes and the event includes themed touches and a friendly food drive with separate donation boxes for Pirates and for Princesses. Donated non perishable food will be used for food bags, daily community meals, shelter residents, and other Hope Center services.

Packet pickup is available early at The Hope Center administrative office and at a registration tent on race day. Same day registration is offered. The course is open for one hour so walkers and joggers are requested to be able to complete the 5K within that time.

Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers and to the top three finishers in age brackets including 11 and under, 12 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
