Event overview
Rock the Run - Pirates vs. Princess 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Hagerstown, Maryland. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a Kids Fun Run (Ages 5-12). Registration opens January 14, 2026. Entry fees listed on the event page include $27.50 for the 5K (includes a $2.50 fee) and $11.60 for the kids fun run (includes a $1.60 fee). Course, awards and charity
The course starts at Fairgrounds Park and routes participants past Pangborn Park, through tree-lined streets in the North End, and along Potomac Street. Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers, and for the top three finishers in age brackets: 11 and under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
All proceeds benefit The Hope Center at Hagerstown Rescue Mission. Funds for this year are designated to improve the facility by converting a front porch area into a four-season sanctuary for use during weather extremes. The event also runs a themed food drive with separate donation boxes for "Pirates" and "Princesses"; donated non-perishable food will support the center’s meal services and food distribution programs.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at The Hope Center administrative office and at a registration tent on race day. Same-day registration and a kids run are included in the race day schedule. The organizer notes the course is open for one hour and requests that walkers be able to complete the 5K within that time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
