Event overview
Highland View Academy (HVA) will host the 46th annual Tartan 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The event is a 3.1 mile run/walk that begins and ends in the administration parking lot of Highland View Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Course and location
The course uses pavement and trails on the HVA campus and at Mt. Aetna Retreat Center. The course will not be closed to traffic. Course maps will be posted later. The event location is Highland View Academy, 10100 Academy Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
Entries and included items
Registration price is $30. Registration closes March 1, 2026 at 11:59pm EST. Included with entry are a race t-shirt (t-shirt order deadline is Sunday, February 1), custom finisher medals, door prizes, and post-race food and refreshments.
Purpose and awards
All proceeds and donations benefit the Worthy Student Fund and the academy endowment. The page states that over 90% of current students receive scholarships from the Worthy Student Fund. Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finishers and to top finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
