The 46th Highland View Academy Tartan 5K Run/Walk takes place on March 1, 2026 in Hagerstown, Maryland at Highland View Academy, 10100 Academy Drive, 21740. The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk that begins and ends on the administration parking lot of Highland View Academy. The course uses pavement and trails at Highland View Academy and the Mt. Aetna Retreat Center. The course will not be closed to traffic. Course maps will be posted later.
Race details and benefits
Registration fee is listed as $30 and registration closes March 1, 2026 at 11:59 pm EST. Included with registration are a race t-shirt, custom finisher medals, door prizes, and post-race food and refreshments. Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finishers and to top finishers in male and female age groups: 12 & under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Additional awards will be given to the top female and male in each Highland View Academy class and to the class with the highest number of participants. Proceeds and donations benefit the Worthy Student Fund and the school endowment; the event materials state that over 90% of current students receive scholarships from that fund.
