Highland View Academy Tartan 5K Run Walk 2026
The 46th annual Tartan 5K Run Walk takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026 in Hagerstown at Highland View Academy. The 3.1 mile run and walk begins and ends on the administration parking lot of Highland View Academy and uses pavement and trails at Highland View Academy and Mt. Aetna Retreat Center. The course will not be closed to traffic.
Entry items include a race t shirt with a deadline of Sunday, February 1, and custom finisher medals. Door prizes listed for the event include a Hagerstown YMCA one month membership, Antiox Juice Bar items, The Pizza Shop, Tree Trekkers, Kinesthetic Solutions massage, Activelife recovery tool, Adventist Book Center gift card, and Hagerstown Flying Boxcars.
Post race refreshments are provided and include water, juice, fruits, nuts, cereal bars, a cinnamon roll from Hadley Farms, and organic sprouted grain Ezekiel bread from Da'Vita Foods.
All proceeds and donations benefit worthy students and an endowment fund. Over 90 percent of current students receive scholarships from the Worthy Student Fund. The stated mission at Highland View Academy is to inspire and mentor students to excel in all Christ calls them to do.
Awards include top 3 male and female overall finishers, top finisher in each male and female age group, awards for the top 3 male and female HVA students, and a $150 gift card to ELM Shoes for the top male and female overall finishers.
