Rock the Block Asheboro
Rock the Block Asheboro is a community event organized by the Shine Bright Foundation on October 17, 2026 in Asheboro, North Carolina. It is presented to raise awareness and support for individuals with Autism and Down Syndrome and to encourage a more inclusive community.
The running component is a 5K event. Registration opens April 20, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. The early registration fee is $30 through September 1, and the regular fee is $35 after that date. Participants who register by September 1 receive the official race t-shirt.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to age group winners. Age group categories listed for awards include 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
The event day includes family-oriented activities and amenities such as food trucks, local vendors, a live DJ, raffle prizes, and bounce houses for children.
