Rock Out Cancer Rockin' 5K - Midwest City, OK
The 12th annual Rock Out Cancer Rockin' 5K is a charity run/walk benefiting the OU Stephenson Cancer Center. The event includes a timed 5K and a post-race festival at The Landing Zone. Parking and check-in take place at The Landing Zone parking lot, 8720 SE 15th St, Midwest City, OK 73110. The race starts near the south side entrance of Regional Park at SE 15th St and Century Blvd.
After the run/walk, a festival continues at The Landing Zone with eight bands, a silent auction, food, and music. All participants receive an event T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 5K and for Best Costume.
Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite rockstar; costumes should be family friendly. Athletic shoes are recommended. Attendees should bring an ID and/or a confirmation email, with electronic versions accepted.
All donations and proceeds support the OU Stephenson Cancer Center. The center supports investigators working in basic, translational, clinical, behavioral, and population-based cancer research. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
