July 4th ROCK-IT RUN - Castle Rock, Colorado
The ROCK-IT RUN is an annual event held on July 4th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colorado, with a virtual participation option. Proceeds benefit the Live Free Association and It's A Calling, organizations focused on veteran and first responder mental wellness.

The half marathon can be run solo or by a team of up to three sharing a single bib attached to a provided waistband. Relay exchanges occur at the Meadows Parkway East Plum Creek trailhead; leg distances for the current route are approximately 4.6 miles, 4.7 miles, and 3.8 miles. Parking at the exchange point is limited and teams are responsible for coordinating exchanges and returning the waistband at the finish.
The course surfaces are primarily concrete. The event features live music on course, a post race concert, an indoor and outdoor vendor expo, finisher medals, and tri-blend racerback shirts for women. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in the half marathon solo: $300, $200, and $100. Participants receive one free smoked brat and one complimentary alcoholic beverage with ID. Discounted registration applies to youth, seniors, veterans, and first responders. No refunds are offered.
