Turkey ROCK Trot - Castle Rock, CO
The Plum Creek Church 22nd Annual Turkey ROCK Trot presented by CORE is a Thanksgiving morning community run held in Castle Rock, Colorado on November 26, 2026 at the Douglas County Event Center. The event includes a 5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Stroll and a free 1K Kids Dash sponsored by PR Youth Running.
The event features an indoor Health and Wellness Expo with more than 30 vendors, a free food item, free face painting, balloon twisting, and a bounce house. Participants 21 and older receive one complimentary beer; mimosas and Bloody Marys are available for purchase.
Race operations use an assigned wave system based on pace to promote safety. Most waves do not allow dogs; one wave is designated for walkers and well-mannered dogs. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to top finishers in multiple age groups. There is also an award for the fastest team of four.
Parking at the event center is free but limited. All proceeds benefit the Help & Hope Center, and attendees are encouraged to bring toiletry donations. The event has a no-refund policy; registrations count as a donation if a participant cannot attend.
