Turkey ROCK Trot
The Plum Creek Church 22nd Annual Turkey ROCK Trot Presented by CORE is a community running event in Castle Rock, Colorado on November 26, 2026 at the Douglas County Event Center, 500 Fairgrounds Drive. The event includes an indoor Health and Wellness Expo with more than 30 vendors, free family activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, and food and beverage options including one free food item per participant and one free beer for participants 21 and older.
Distances:
- 5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Stroll
- 1K Kid's Dash free and sponsored by PR Youth Running
The event uses an assigned wave start system based on pace; faster runners are placed in earlier waves and leisurely walkers and well mannered dogs are placed in the final wave. Awards recognize the top three overall female and male finishers, top three in multiple age groups, and the fastest team of four. Parking at the event center is free but limited. Organizers request donations of toiletry items to stock the Help and Hope Center; all proceeds benefit that organization. The event statement on refunds notes no refunds will be given and registrations may be treated as tax deductible donations to the Help and Hope Center. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are part of the event program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
