Turkey ROCK Trot : Plum Creek Church 22nd Annual
The Turkey ROCK Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving morning on November 26, 2026, at the Douglas County Event Center in Castle Rock, Colorado. The event is presented by CORE and benefits the Help & Hope Center, which assists neighbors in Douglas and Elbert counties facing economic hardship.

The event includes an indoor Health and Wellness Expo with more than 30 vendors and sponsors, a complimentary food item for participants, family activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, and a bounce house, and on-site beverage options including one complimentary beer per participant 21 years and older; additional drinks are available for purchase. Live music and a DJ are part of the event atmosphere.
A start-wave system is used for safety; waves are assigned by expected pace and dogs are permitted only in the designated walker wave. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top three male and female in age groups including 12 & under through 70 & over; there is also an award for the fastest team of four.
Advance packet pick-up occurs the Friday and Saturday before the race at local pickup locations in Castle Rock. Parking at the event center is free but limited. No refunds are given and registrations are treated as tax-deductible donations to the Help & Hope Center.
