Parker Parks and Recreation Turkey Day 5K Fun Run/Walk
The Turkey Day 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place on Nov. 26, 2026 at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave. The event is part of the Parks and Recreation Run Series and is presented with a title sponsor, RNK Running & Walking.
This community event is a noncompetitive run and walk. Registered participants receive a commemorative item, a souvenir race bib, and a choice of hot cocoa, cider, or coffee. Participants may add a finisher medal during registration. The event is not officially timed and will proceed rain, snow or shine. Refunds are not issued.
The course is a loop that begins and finishes at the Recreation Center. The route heads west on Recreation Drive (closed road), north on Jordan Road (closed lane), east on the E-470 Trail, then south on the Cherry Creek Regional Trail before returning to the Recreation Center. Strollers are welcome; for safety reasons dogs, bikes, and scooters are requested to stay at home. Parking is limited.
Standard registration for the 5K is listed at $38. Registration fees increase on Nov. 12 and Nov. 26, and event-day registration is available for an additional $5 if space remains. Proceeds support the Town of Parker Scholarship Program, which assists local families and individuals with limited financial resources to participate in town recreation programs.
