Parker Parks and Recreation Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk
The Parker Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk takes place on Nov. 26, 2026 at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave. The event is presented with RNK Running and Walking and is part of the Parks and Recreation Run Series. The distance offered is 5K and the event is not officially timed.
Registered participants receive a commemorative item, a souvenir race bib, and a choice of hot cocoa, cider or coffee. Participants may add a finisher medal during registration. Space is limited and standard registration for the 5K is listed at $38; registration fees increase on Nov. 12 and again on Nov. 26, and event-day registration is available for an additional $5 if space remains. The event is held rain, snow or shine and refunds are not issued.
The 5K course is a loop that begins and finishes at the Parker Recreation Center. The route goes west on Recreation Drive (closed road), north on Jordan Road (closed lane), east on the E-470 Trail, then south on the Cherry Creek Regional Trail before returning to the Recreation Center. Strollers are welcome; for safety reasons dogs, bicycles and scooters should be left at home. Parking is limited. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Town of Parker Scholarship Program.
