Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk at Parker Recreation
The Parker Parks and Recreation Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk is a community event held on Nov. 26, 2026 at the Parker Recreation Center. The event is part of the Parks and Recreation Run Series and is presented in collaboration with RNK Running & Walking.
The course is a loop that begins and finishes at the Parker Recreation Center, follows Recreation Drive (closed road), proceeds north on Jordan Road (closed lane), continues east on the E-470 Trail, then heads south on the Cherry Creek Regional Trail before returning to the recreation center. The event is not officially timed.
Registered participants receive a commemorative item, a souvenir race bib, and a choice of hot cocoa, cider, or coffee. Participants may add a finisher medal during registration. Strollers are welcome; dogs, bikes, and scooters are requested to remain at home for safety. Parking is limited. The event is held rain, snow, or shine and refunds are not issued.
Standard entry for the 5K is listed at $38. Registration fees increase on Nov. 12 and Nov. 26, and event-day registration is available for an additional $5 if space remains.
