Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk
The Turkey Day 5K FUN Run/Walk takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 2026, at the Parker Recreation Center in Parker, Colorado. The event is part of the Parks and Recreation Run Series and is presented as a community, family-friendly run and walk. Space is limited and standard entry is listed at $38; registration costs increase on Nov. 12 and again on Nov. 26, with event-day registration available for an additional $5 if space remains. The event is held rain, snow or shine and refunds will not be issued.
Registered participants receive a commemorative item, a souvenir race bib and hot cocoa, cider or coffee; participants can also choose to add a finisher medal during registration. The event is not officially timed. Strollers are welcome; for safety reasons dogs, bikes and scooters should be left at home. Parking is limited.
The course is a loop that starts and finishes at the Parker Recreation Center. It heads west on Recreation Drive (closed road), turns north onto Jordan Road (closed lane), continues east on the E-470 Trail, then goes south on the Cherry Creek Regional Trail before returning to the center. Volunteer opportunities are available for this event. Any proceeds will benefit the Town of Parker Scholarship Program, which assists local families and individuals with limited financial resources to participate in Town recreation programs and facilities.
