About the race
The Rock CF Rivers Half Marathon is a fundraising road race on Grosse Ile, Michigan, held on March 21, 2027. The event supports the Rock CF Foundation and its programs for people living with cystic fibrosis.
The course runs around Grosse Ile with views of the Detroit River. The half marathon course is USATF certified and described as fast and flat. Distances offered:

- 15K
- 5K
- Virtual run/walk option
Race fields are capped: half marathon 800, 15K 300, 5K 500. The half marathon has a 3 hour 30 minute time limit; participants beyond that time receive no race support. On-course hydration and nutrition are provided at multiple aid stations including water, lemon lime Gatorade, and GU gels at specified mile markers. Portable toilets are placed at each water station and at key locations.
Logistics include advanced packet pickup at Run Detroit, a race expo and packet pickup at Grosse Ile High School the day before the race, and race day packet pickup locations. Gear check is available with colored labels corresponding to each distance. Shuttle lots and event parking are organized for island access; the island is reachable by two bridges with one bridge charging a toll.
Awards are given for overall top finishers including a nonbinary category, masters winners, and three deep in age groups for each distance.
