The Rock and Run 5K + 3K Walk has been rescheduled to August 8, 2026. The event takes place in Athens, Georgia at VFW 2872, 835 Sunset Drive, Athens, GA 30606. The program includes these event options:
- 5K run
- 3K walk
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 3K
The in-person 5K run and 3K walk are open to participants aged 12 and older. Course maps and detailed course information are available only to registered participants.
Registration, fees and policies
Event listings show per-event fees: the 5K run and virtual events are listed at $30, and the 3K walk is listed at $35. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who pre-register by July 19, 2026; limited quantities will be available on race day. Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards and may pay an additional $10 mailing fee to have shirts sent after the event. Virtual finish times must be submitted after completing the distance; virtual registration closes on August 8, 2026. The organizers offer registrants from 2025 the option to defer registration to the 2026 date or request a refund minus standard processing fees; refund requests must be submitted by July 31, 2025. No refunds are available for inclement weather. Award categories include overall, masters (40+), youth (17 and under), and top walkers.
