ROCC The Journey 5K
ROCC The Journey 5K is the second annual edition titled "The Comeback Tour," held in Joplin, Missouri on September 19, 2026. The event is a 5K running race that raises awareness for sobriety and recovery, with all proceeds benefiting the Recovery Outreach Community Center, a nonprofit that provides recovery support services through local partnerships and peer empowerment.
The course is USATF certified and the race will be chip timed by the Joplin RoadRunners. All participants receive finisher medals. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers, and first, second, and third place in the following age categories: 10 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration included an early bird fee of $35 through August 1, 2026, with the fee increasing thereafter. Packet pick-up was scheduled at The ROCC on the day before and the morning of the event. The event also features a "Comeback Story" recognition for individuals noted for strength in recovery; nominations were accepted through September 5, 2026, and the honored individual is recognized at the event.
