Event Overview
The Roade Sprint Triathlon is a multisport event taking place in late April. It offers four different race formats for participants to choose from. It is organized by the enDuRo team.
Race Formats
There are four distinct race options available.
- Sprint Triathlon: This race consists of a 414m swim, a 20km bike leg, and a 5km run.
- Aquabike: This format includes a 414m swim followed by the 20km bike course.
- Taster Tri: A shorter option with a 207m swim, a 10km bike ride, and a 2.5km run.
- Team Relays: Teams can tackle the full Sprint Triathlon course of 414m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.
Course Details
The event begins with a swim in a 23m pool. The subsequent bike course is described as having gentle undulations through the Northamptonshire countryside. The final run leg is noted as a flat and fast out-and-back route. The race finishes with a lap of the school field.
Participant Information
Participants must be at least 15 years old by December 31st of the event year. Registration is available on both the day before the race and on race day morning. On race day, start times are allocated based on a competitor's estimated swim time, with waves beginning early in the morning. Venue
The event takes place at Elizabeth Woodville School in Roade, Northamptonshire. Live race timing is provided, and official photographs are taken around the course and made available after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
