Roade Sprint Triathlon

The Roade Sprint Triathlon takes place in Northamptonshire, featuring a course that passes through the local villages of Roade and Stoke Bruerne. The event provides multiple distance options for participants, including various combinations of swimming, cycling, and running.

The competition begins with a swim held in a 23m pool. Following the swim, the cycling leg takes participants through the local countryside on a course described as having gentle undulations. The final discipline is an out and back run on a flat surface, which concludes with a lap of the school field to reach the finish area.

Available race formats include:

  • Sprint Triathlon: 414m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run
  • Aquabike: 414m swim and 20km bike
  • Taster Tri: 207m swim, 10km bike, and 2.5km run
  • Team Relays: 414m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run

The minimum age for participation is 15 years old by December 31st of the race year. Those who are 14 may compete if their 15th birthday occurs before the end of the year. Registration is available both the day before the event and on the morning of the race at Elizabeth Woodville School. Live timing is provided for all activities, allowing for progress tracking at various timing stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
