Roade Sprint Triathlon
Roade Sprint Triathlon is a short-format event held in Roade, Northamptonshire, with multiple race options for solo athletes and teams. The swim takes place in a 23 m pool. The bike course covers local lanes with gentle undulations through Northamptonshire countryside and passes through the villages of Roade and Stoke Bruerne. The run is an out-and-back flat route that finishes with a lap of the school field into the finish area at Elizabeth Woodville School.
Race formats and distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 414 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Aquabike: 414 m swim, 20 km bike
- Taster Tri: 207 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Team Relays: 414 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
Participants must be at least 15 years old by 31 December (14 year olds eligible if their next birthday falls before year end). Parents or guardians of competitors under 16 must attend registration to provide signed permission. Registration is held the day before and on race morning, and race packs are issued at registration. Entries on the day are permitted. Live race timing is provided and photographs are taken around the course and in the village, with images available after the event.
