Roade Sprint Triathlon - 25 April 2027
The Roade Sprint Triathlon is a short-course multi-sport event held at Elizabeth Woodville School in Roade, Northamptonshire. Race formats include sprint, aquabike, taster tri and team relays with measured swim, bike and run legs.
Race formats and distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: 414 m swim | 20 km bike | 5 km run
- Aquabike: 414 m swim | 20 km bike
- Taster Tri: 207 m swim | 10 km bike | 2.5 km run
- Team Relays: 414 m swim | 20 km bike | 5 km run
The swim starts in a 23 m pool. The bike course follows roads through Northamptonshire countryside with gentle undulations. The run is an out-and-back route that finishes with a lap of the school field into the finish area.
Minimum age rules apply: participants must be at least 15 years old by 31 December, or 14 if their next birthday falls before year end. Parents or guardians of competitors under 16 must be present at registration to provide signed permission.
Registration takes place the day before and on race day, and entries on the day are allowed. Competitors are asked to allow time before their allocated start to prepare. A race instructions booklet, live race timing and course photography are provided. Photographs are released within about a week.
