Roade Sprint Triathlon
Roade Sprint Triathlon is a short-course multisport event held at Elizabeth Woodville School in Roade, Northamptonshire. The swim takes place in a 23 m pool. The bike course leaves the village and runs through local villages including Stoke Bruerne with gentle undulations through Northamptonshire countryside. The run is an out-and-back, flat and fast course that finishes with a lap of the school field into the finish area.
Event formats and distances include:
- SPRINT Triathlon: 414m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- AQUABIKE: 414m swim, 20km bike
- TASTER TRI: 207m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
- TEAM RELAYS: 414m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
Participants must be at least 15 years old by 31 December; 14 year olds are eligible if their next birthday falls before year end. Parents or guardians of entrants under 16 must be present at registration to provide signed permission. Registration takes place the day before and on race day where competitors receive their race pack.
Live race timing is provided via an external timing service so results can be tracked as competitors cross timing stations. Event photographers are positioned around the course and in the village; photographs are made available after the event. Coaching options are offered by the organiser, including 1:1 sessions for swim, bike and run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
