Road To The Cup 5K
The Road To The Cup 5K takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, on Father's Day. This running event precedes the Spain vs Saudi Arabia soccer match and serves as a community gathering as the city prepares for international soccer competition. The event is a collaborative effort hosted by five local organizations: Cherokee Run Club, Mindful Miles Run Club, Move Peach Run Club, Los Corridos Run Club, and Millas Por Días Run Club.
Participants are encouraged to wear team jerseys and bring flags to represent different countries and running crews. The atmosphere features a live DJ and an MC to provide entertainment throughout the morning. The event is open to participants of all ages and includes the following distance:
- 5 km running race
The race recognizes various performance categories with individual awards. These include the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the first male and female finishers in the Masters category for those aged 40 and over. Age group awards are also presented to the top three male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 18 and under up to the 60-69 category. The course is located near 1660 Johnson Rd.
