RMRR November Trophy Series
The Rocky Mountain Road Runners November race takes place in Denver at the Prairie Gateway Open Space Park. This event is part of a monthly series that provides a low-cost racing environment open to all participants. The course consists primarily of crushed gravel surfaces.
The event features two distinct distance options:
- 15k run
- 5k run
The 15k race utilizes a handicap start system where participants are released in a slow-to-fast sequence spread over approximately 50 minutes. Runners are assigned specific start times based on their estimated finish times, grouping individuals of similar speeds together. This format is designed to provide all participants with an opportunity to compete for a win. The 15k route includes approximately 0.9 miles of paved sections in both directions.
The 5k race is contained within the Prairie Gateway area. All participants in the 5k distance start approximately 20 minutes after the first group of the 15k event begins.
Registration and bib pickup occur at the venue on the day of the event. The registration pavilion and designated parking lots are located along Gateway Road, approximately one third of a mile from the intersection of Prairie Parkway and Gateway Road, near the entrance to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.
