Course and race details
The race takes place in Prairie Gateway Open Space Park. The course surface is mostly crushed gravel. The 5k stays within Prairie Gateway, and the 15k includes about 0.9 miles of paved surface. The 15k uses a handicap start system: runners are given staggered start times based on estimated finish times so runners with similar speeds start together. All 5k racers start after the initial 15k starters.
Participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race to collect bibs and complete registration. Parking is available near I-70 and Quebec; drivers are directed to parking lots along either side of Gateway Road near the registration pavilion.
