RMRR July Trophy Series

The RMRR July Trophy Series is a running event organized by the Rocky Mountain Road Runners in Lakewood, Colorado. The race takes place at Stone House Park, located at 2900 S. Estes St., situated between Yale and Hampden. Registration and check-in are held under the park's picnic shelter, with parking available directly on-site at the park.

The event utilizes a specific handicap start system where runners are sent off in waves based on predicted finish times. This slow-to-fast staggered start is spread over approximately 10 minutes, grouping participants with others of a similar pace. This system is designed to provide all participants with an opportunity to compete for a win regardless of their overall speed.

The competition is held on a course consisting of crusher and fine dirt surfaces. Participants are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before the start to collect their bibs and perform warm-up exercises. Following the conclusion of the race, a pancake breakfast is provided for those in attendance.

The distances available for this event include:

  • 2 Miles running race

The race provides a low-key and low-cost competitive environment. Online registration is available until the day before the event, and the race is open to all interested runners without specific qualification requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
