Riverlands 100 : Turner, Maine
Riverlands 100 is a trail 100 mile event held at Androscoggin Riverlands State Park in Turner, ME. Solo runners complete four laps of a 25 mile out-and-back course. A five person relay division covers the same route in team legs.
The course is roughly half ATV trail and half single track. Runners encounter river views along the Androscoggin, dense forest, varied terrain with rocks and roots, uphill and downhill sections, and often muddy stretches. The organizers note the race is more demanding than the elevation profile suggests and that there are few places to relax on the course. The solo race has a 32 hour cut off.
This edition is planned as the final Riverlands 100. Relay entries are invitation only for this year and only ten teams were invited; there is no open registration for the relay. Registration for the solo race closes on April 17 and a wait list is maintained for solo entries. If a registered runner drops out and their spot is filled from the wait list, a refund may be issued under the race refund policy. No roster changes are allowed after April 22.
A pre race pasta dinner and a post race brunch are provided at Martin Stream Campground. Runners receive meals at no charge and extra meals for crew or pacers are available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
