Riverfront Hartford 5K
The Riverfront Hartford 5K is a 3.1 mile evening road race in Hartford held on Thursday, June 25, 2026. It is the first of three Riverfront races in the Riverfront Summer Series. Each race participant receives custom designed swag.
Course, series and event details
The course runs north along well-maintained trails of Riverside Park. After the race, participants age 21 and over may obtain a craft brew at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza with valid ID. The Riverfront Summer Series includes three Thursday evening races: Hartford’s Riverfront 5K in June, a redesigned Riverfront 4 Mile on a different Hartford course in July, and the Riverfront 5 Mile in East Hartford in August. Series finishers receive a lightweight custom long sleeve tee.
The event is produced by the Hartford Marathon Foundation, a non-profit that organizes road races, triathlons and a trail race across Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The charity beneficiary for this event is HMF’s Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program.
