Event Overview
The Riverfront Hartford 5K is a Thursday evening running event held in Hartford. The race serves as the first installment of the Riverfront Summer Series, a trio of competitions that take place along the river in the capital region. The course for this race follows well-maintained trails within Riverside Park, heading north along the waterfront.

Participants who complete the entire series receive a custom long-sleeve shirt. The individual event provides participants with custom swag and post-race refreshments. Activities after the run take place at the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza and include food from Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ. For participants aged 21 and over with valid identification, craft beer from New England Brewing Company is provided.
The Hartford Marathon Foundation organizes the event as a non-profit organization. The designated charity beneficiary for the race is the Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program.
