Riverfront East Hartford 5 Mile
Scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, the Riverfront East Hartford 5 mile is an evening road race along the riverfront in East Hartford. The event is presented by the Hartford Marathon Foundation as part of the Riverfront Summer Series and uses a different riverfront course than the other series races.
The race includes post-race amenities on the great lawn at Goodwin University, where a craft brew will be available for participants 21 and older with valid ID. Each race participant receives a pair of custom designed technical socks. After the race the setting is described as a summer evening sunset along the river.
The Riverfront Summer Series is made up of three Thursday evening events that span early summer to late summer:
- Hartford Riverfront 5K in June
- Redesigned Riverfront 4 Mile in July
- Riverfront 5 Mile in East Hartford in August
Series finishers receive a lightweight custom long sleeve tee. The event supports HMF’s Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program as its charity beneficiary.
