Riverfront East Hartford 5 Mile
The Riverfront East Hartford 5 Mile is a Thursday evening road race held on August 27, 2026, along an East Hartford riverfront course. It is the final event of the Riverfront Summer Series and uses a different riverfront course than the other series races. The event takes place on the great lawn at Goodwin University for postrace activities.
Each race participant receives a pair of custom designed technical socks and a mini mac attack provided by Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ. Adults age 21 and over with ID may receive an ice cold craft brew from New England Brewing Company at the finish area. Series finishers receive a lightweight custom long sleeve tee.
The event names HMF’s Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program as its charity beneficiary. The Hartford Marathon Foundation organizes the race as one of several community road races it produces across the region.
