Event Overview
The Riverfront East Hartford 5 Mile is a running event held on a Thursday evening in August. Located in the capital region, the race takes participants along the river in East Hartford. This event serves as the final installment of the three-part Riverfront Summer Series organized by the Hartford Marathon Foundation.
Race Features
The competition features a specific distance and associated amenities for participants:

The course is designed to offer a different layout compared to previous events in the series. The race finishes at the great lawn of Goodwin University, situated alongside the river. Following the run, participants receive a mini mac attack from Bear's Smokehouse BBQ and a pair of custom designed technical socks. Finishers aged 21 and over with a valid ID can also access a craft beverage from New England Brewing Company.
Series and Community
The event is part of the Riverfront Summer Series, which includes a 5K in June and a 4 mile race in July. Individuals who complete all three races in the series receive a custom lightweight long-sleeve shirt. The race supports the Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program.
