Be Happy Road Race in Ellington, CT
The eighth annual Be Happy Road Race takes place on August 30, 2026 in Ellington, Connecticut. The event is organized with Lindsay's Legacy Foundation to raise funds for clinical trial research at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center.
Distances offered include:
- 0.6 miles Kid Fun Run live in person
- 3.1 miles 5K Run/Walk live in person
- 6.2 miles 10K Run live in person
- 3.1 miles Virtual 5K run
- 6.2 miles Virtual 10K run
- 22.46 miles Race for Hope virtual challenge
One hundred percent of participant registration fees are donated to the Lindsay's Legacy Foundation Fund to support clinical trial research. In-person 5K and 10K races will be chip timed. Sponsor-provided cash prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in those races. Divisional awards will be given to male and female winners in the age divisions 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Virtual participants may complete their distance anywhere, including on a treadmill, and submit their time by email. Race packets for virtual entrants will be mailed after registration closes.
