Rise Thermopylae

Website

RISE Thermopylae is a hybrid immersive endurance event (HIPDEE) held near Raphine, Virginia, on 160+ rugged acres at the base of the Allegheny Mountains adjacent to George Washington National Forest. The event offers three tiers: 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour, combining backcountry running with ruck marches, water crossings, single-track, obstacles, and mission-based challenges. Competitors face mental clarity tests, emotional resilience evolutions, and leadership drills under elite coaching in a no-spectator, high-commitment setting.

Finisher rewards include patches, shirts, dog tags, and a forged blade for top performers. Completion unlocks future progression; gear lists and maps provided after registration. Sleep is highly limited, especially in the longer tiers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
