Gypsy Hill Park Firecracker 5K
The Gypsy Hill Park Firecracker 5K is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, Virginia. The race uses a closed course that follows 2.3 loops around Constitution Drive. The route begins near the golf course entrance and finishes near the Kiwanis concession stand.
Registration information listed for the event shows registration opening May 1 and closing May 27, with a registration fee of $25 as provided. No on-site registration is permitted. Early packet pick-up is scheduled at Sole Focus Running, 210 N Central Ave, Staunton, on Friday, July 3, and a day-of packet pick-up tent will be located near the Kiwanis ball field concession stand between the little league ball fields near the park’s west entrance. The first 250 registrants who pick up packets the day before the race will receive a special swag bag from HOKA.
Awards are planned for overall top finishers and for winners in defined age-group categories including 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-36, 37-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66-75, and 76 & over. Parking is available along Springhill Road, Churchville Avenue, and surrounding neighborhood streets; parking is not permitted inside Gypsy Hill Park boundaries.
