Event overview
The Rise and Shine 5K Run/Walk takes place on April 4, 2026, at Meadow Ridge Metro Park - South Entrance in Middletown, OH (5101 Circle Parkway). The event is a fundraiser organized by Middnaz and includes the following distances:
- 5 km run/walk
- 200 m kids dash (children 10 and under)
The entry fee for the 5K is $35; the kids dash is free. Registration opens December 22, 2025. A course map is available as a downloadable PDF.
Purpose and on-site activities
The event is scheduled the day before Easter and will start and end with prayer. Organizers plan to offer a biblical message about the resurrected Jesus. Food, drinks and music will follow the 5K. The event includes a meal concept referencing the Last Supper and a themed drink display in a small boat labeled Peter’s boat. Tables will provide information about sponsors, the church and its ministries, and a collection box will be available for non-perishable donations to the Hope House Ministry. Proceeds will support building repairs and Middnaz ministries such as Hope House, Anchored Hope, and community outreach programs. Registration and bib pick up are available on race day.
