Ring the Springs is a trail running event held at Rock Ledge Ranch in Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs. The event includes three distances: 100K, 50K, and 35K. Races use local trails including Midland Trail, North Cheyenne Cañon, and routes within Pike National Forest, and finish at Rock Ledge Ranch. Parking is available in the large dirt and grass lot at Rock Ledge Ranch.

Course details and logistics

  • 100K : 64 miles; about 11,065 feet of elevation gain; max elevation up to 11,476 feet; 22-hour time limit.
  • 50K : 32.3 miles; roughly 5,333 feet of elevation gain; max elevation around 9,085 feet; time limit listed as 10 hours.
  • 35K : 21.5 miles; about 3,388 feet of elevation gain; max elevation near 7,873 feet; time limit listed as 10 hours.

The 100K course reaches Mount Rosa and has sustained climbing between miles 11 and 29. Aid stations and drop-bag locations are listed for each distance. For the 100K, crews are allowed at Captain Jack and Old Stage; pacers may join 100K runners at Old Stage or Captain Jack II. The 50K and 35K do not allow pacers; crews may access the finish area. Cutoff checkpoints are located at Old Stage (mile 39.4), Captain Jack II (mile 53.6), and the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
