The course is routed as roughly two and a half loops that include shaded oak woodland, exposed ridgelines, and varied elevation. Solo runners complete both main loops for about 51 miles total; a one-loop option of about 25 miles is offered.
Distances:
- Solo 50 mile course about 51 miles total
- One-loop 25ish mile challenge
Aid stations are stocked with hydration, electrolyte drinks, gels, fruit, sandwiches, and typical ultra snacks; three major aid stations receive full resupply. The event is cupless: all participants must carry a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration system for refills. A designated drop bag area is located near the start/finish and is marked by a blue tarp. Crew access is limited to the start/finish area and the Lake Marie aid station; crew are not allowed at Napa Road or Soscol Headwaters aid stations. Pacers are permitted only for solo 50 mile runners after the first loop and must carry their own nutrition.
Entries are non refundable and non transferable; race credit may be issued under defined notice windows. Race photos are provided at no charge with options to purchase higher resolution images.
