Bay Front Run - Hercules, CA
The Bay Front Run is an annual running event held along Bayfront Blvd and the Bay Trail in Hercules, California. The event supports local schools and lists the Hercules Education Foundation as a fundraising organization. It includes both in-person and virtual options.
Distances offered:
- 5K (chip timed)
- 10K (chip timed, double loop option)
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run (ages 3-10)
- Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K
The course begins at Sanderling and Bayfront, follows Bayfront Blvd to the Bay Trail entrance at John Muir Parkway, continues along the Bay Trail through Hercules to Rodeo, with a turnaround at the end of the trail. 10K participants complete two loops of the route. Bibs must be worn for chip timing; results are posted after the event. Awards are given to the top female and male in the 5K and 10K.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at The Dylan Apartments, 2200 John Muir Parkway, and there is packet pickup and last-minute registration at Sanderling and Bayfront Blvd on race day. Registrations are non-refundable but may be transferred to another individual. Early registrants by September 15 receive an event T-shirt; the first 350 registered receive a finisher medal.
A community festival follows the run, featuring local entertainment, music, food trucks, small businesses, and community organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
