8th Annual Bay Front Run
The Bay Front Run takes place in Hercules, California, on a course that utilizes the Bay Front Trail. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Hercules Education Foundation to support local schools. Participants can choose between several distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run (Ages 3-10)
The race starts and finishes at the intersection of Sanderling and Bayfront Boulevard. The route follows Bayfront Boulevard to the Bay Trail entrance at John Muir Parkway and continues through Hercules toward Rodeo. The turn-around point is located at the end of the trail in Rodeo. Those participating in the 10 km distance complete a double loop of the course. The 5 km and 10 km events are chip timed, and participants must wear their bibs to be scored.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km categories. Registered participants who sign up by September 15 receive an event t-shirt. Finisher medals are provided to the first 350 registrants. Following the races, the Bay Front Festival features local entertainment, music, food trucks, and community organizations.
