Riley Trails 13.1, 10K & Ruck Challenge
The Riley Trails event takes place on August 15, 2026, in Holland, Michigan, and offers trail running and rucking over multiple distances. Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 13.1 RUCK
- 10K
- 10K RUCK
The 2026 edition is the ninth year of the event and the first without a full marathon option, a change made to prioritize participant and community safety and to focus the event on shorter trail distances.
The course uses the trails at Riley Trails and emphasizes rugged, natural terrain. An aid station managed by Gazelle Sports will be positioned roughly every 4 miles and will provide pre-packaged snacks, drinks, and Skratch Labs hydration products; participants may bring their own nutrition if preferred.
All event proceeds benefit the Egress Endurance Project, which supports people in recovery by providing endurance sport as a positive outlet and community. Rucking entries have no minimum weight requirement, though 10 to 20 pounds is encouraged; weight is self-reported. Ruck finishers receive an Egress Endurance patch and a finisher medal.
Logistics include packet pick-up at Benjamin's Hope by the start and finish area on the day before the race and race morning, and parking at Benjamin's Hope, 15468 Riley St, Holland, MI. The event is held rain or shine and does not offer refunds; bib transfers or transfers to other Egress Endurance events are allowed by request.
