The Riley Trails Challenge is a trail running and rucking event held at Riley Trails Park in Holland, MI. The 2026 edition is the ninth year of the event and takes place on wooded singletrack and rugged park trails. Organizers removed the full marathon distance for 2026 to better prioritize safety and the participant experience.
Event distances include:
- 13.1-mile trail half marathon
- 10K trail run
- Ruck divisions including 13.1 and 10K options
One hundred percent of event proceeds support the Egress Endurance Project, which focuses on helping individuals battling addiction through endurance sport, community, and consistency. Aid stations are managed by Gazelle Sports, placed approximately every four miles, and offer pre-packaged snacks, drinks, and Skratch Labs hydration products; participants may bring their own nutrition. Packet pick-up is at Benjamin's Hope by the start and finish area on the day before the event and on race morning. Parking is available at Benjamin's Hope, 15468 Riley St, Holland, MI 49424.
The event is held rain or shine. There are no refunds; bib transfers or transfers to another Egress Endurance event may be allowed through organizer process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
