Riley Trails 13.1, 10K & Ruck Challenge
The Riley Trails Challenge takes place at Riley Trails Park in Holland, MI on August 15, 2026. The event returns for its ninth year and uses wooded singletrack at Riley Trails Park for all courses.
Distances offered include:
- 13.1-mile trail half marathon on singletrack
- 10K trail run on wooded singletrack
- Ruck division over the same trail terrain
Organizers removed the full marathon distance for 2026 to better prioritize participant and community safety and the overall event experience. The format provides trail running and rucking options that accommodate first-time trail runners as well as experienced participants.
All event proceeds benefit the Egress Endurance Project. That project supports people battling addiction by offering endurance programs, outdoor movement, goal setting, and community support to help participants rebuild routine and find hope through consistent activity.
The event description emphasizes participation, forward progress, and community support. It brings runners and ruckers together on natural singletrack and connects the day’s activity with a nonprofit mission focused on recovery and sustained engagement in endurance-based programs.
