34th Annual RidgeWalk & Run, Wellsville NY, October 18 2026
The RidgeWalk & Run is a multi-event running and walking festival held in Wellsville, New York. It offers in-person trail and road events and a virtual Home Edition that can be completed between October 10 and October 18. Proceeds support local community wellness initiatives in Allegany County.
Event distances include:
- 25K Trail Run or Walk
- 10K Trail Run
- 5K Trail Run
- 9 Mile Walk
- 6 Mile Walk
- 2 Mile Trail Walk
- 2 Mile Road Walk
- Virtual Home Edition for any distance
Courses use forest trails, footpaths and a paved country road. The 25K and some walks include steep, rocky and sometimes wet sections with significant climbs and descents of about 800 feet. The 10K and 5K runs include notable climbs and finish with a downhill segment. The 2 Mile Road Walk is on a paved road with an optional trail finish and is suitable for strollers. The 2 Mile Trail Walk is mainly off road and relatively flat.
Aid stations are provided on longer courses, and participants are transported by bus to trailheads. Some events have registration caps. Cutoff procedures and a minimum pace requirement of about 2.5 miles per hour apply at specified aid stations; participants who miss cutoffs may be shuttled to the finish.
