RidgeWalk & Run : 34th Annual
The RidgeWalk & Run takes place October 18, 2026 in Wellsville, New York, with multiple in-person trail runs and walks and a virtual Home Edition. The event is staged from Wellsville Central School and includes organized transportation to start areas.
Terrain and course notes are specific to each event. Trails range from mainly flat forest paths to rugged, rocky sections with steep climbs and descents. Notable course features include significant climbs and descents of about 800 feet on some routes, remote footpaths, and sections that can be wet. The 25K course includes six aid stations and participants are advised to carry extra hydration. Some distances enforce aid station cutoffs for safety; participants who do not meet the required pace will be shuttled to the finish.

The virtual Home Edition allows completion of a selected distance between October 10 and October 18, with the event t-shirt mailed within six weeks. Registration fees for listed events range from $30 to $40. All proceeds support community wellness initiatives in Allegany County. The 25K serves as the USATF Niagara Open and Masters Trail Championships and is part of the USATF Niagara Runner Of The Year and Team Grand Prix Series.
