GLOW 5K Run & Walk
The GLOW 5K Run & Walk is a night event held at the Wellsville Municipal Airport on Friday, May 1, 2026. This is the 11th edition of the event, which focuses on family wellness.
The 5 km course uses paved roads throughout the airport grounds. The course is marked with glow sticks and solar lighting, and runway lights also provide illumination. For safety, Tarantine Road will be closed to traffic around the event time. Participants are encouraged to wear proper footwear and bring headlamps or flashlights due to uneven terrain. The event takes place rain or shine.
On-site features include static airplane displays for children, DJ music, and prize giveaways for all participants. All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners, as well as to first-place finishers in various age divisions.
Entry is free for participants aged 0-10. There is a fee for those aged 11 and older. Chip timing is used. A unisex tech shirt is available for participants aged 6 and over who register online by April 17, 2026. Online registration closes on April 28, 2026.
