About the race
Live for Liv is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that honors a 17-year-old who died from domestic violence in 2010. The Ride for Liv / Run for Liv event celebrates that life and aims to raise awareness of domestic violence while raising funds to help survivors.
The event is scheduled for September 20, 2026, at the Stony Brook Middle School track in Westford, Massachusetts, at 9 Farmer Way. It features a trail-based 5K course through East Boston Camps and a shorter family fun run on Stony Brook trails that allows family members and pets. Registration will be capped at 100 participants because of limited volunteer support and short notice.
Fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the 5K and a family rate for the shorter run with $20 for the first adult and $10 for each additional registrant. Packet pickup will be available on the morning of the event. All proceeds from the event are designated to support survivors of domestic violence.
Participants may also register to fundraise for the Live for Liv Foundation. Sponsors receive recognition on event signage, in media publicity, and on the foundation website; sponsorship levels are acknowledged on t-shirts provided to the first 300 participants. Post-race activities include a raffle, a DJ, and ice cream tickets available from a vendor; payment may be by cash or card.
